Asbestos Awareness

HSE figures estimate that over 4000 people die every year from asbestos related illness and that this figure is projected to peak at over 5000. There are over half a million properties in the UK which still contain asbestos and if not aware, staff may come into contact with this lethal material.

This half day course, directed at persons responsible for the management of or maintenance in non-domestic premises, covers the requirements of the Approved Code of Practice and delivers an awareness of asbestos containing materials including legislation on the Duty to Manage in accordance with the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006. An interesting and informative course which is received well by candidates across the board from management to a diversity of operatives and trade staff.

Session
